After a long 13-hour journey battling the return traffic, we finally arrived in Balikpapan at dawn. From the Penajam ferry crossing to Kariangau Port, then driving through city streets that were still quiet and wet from the rain. What really amazed us was how incredibly clean the city is. Even though we’d been driving around since early morning, we didn’t see a single sanitation worker. So the question is… when do they actually clean the city? 🤔 Huge appreciation to the system and the people of Balikpapan.
