Back in 1998, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, at Sapre Shala Ground in Raipur, raised the slogan in the style of Chandrashekhar Azad: "Give me 11 seats, and I will give you a state." Chhattisgarh didn't give 11, but certainly gave 8 seats. Later, Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister. And in the year 2000, a new entity named Chhattisgarh emerged on the country's map. In it, amidst mountains, rivers, and golden fields, stands a goddess wearing a green sari, holding ears of paddy.
