The introduction was made by Ms. Ebele Okobi, Public Policy Director, Africa , Facebook.The conference theme was Memory, Culture and Community : Remembering the Past, Imagining the future. The 2018 Igbo conference provided a platform to discuss Igbo heritage studies and modes of documenting the past including how Igbo people can start documenting their own personal histories and archives. The ‘Memory, Culture and Community’ conference is the seventh edition of the annual international Igbo Conference, which has taken place at SOAS, University of London since its beginnings in 2012.
