The Roman Arena is located in Croatia, at the Peninsula Istria, however as this area used to be a part of the Venetian Empire and Italy as well as of the Austrian Empire and Yugoslavia it reflects a wonderful mix of these different cultures. Besides this Italien influence, this town also has Austrian history as it was also part of the Austrian Empire when it was the most important war harbor during World War I. The Pula Arena is located directly at the harbor facing the sea. The exterior is constructed in limestone with three stories high in front and 2 stories high on the back side. While it was the venue for gladiatorial combats in old roman times, it now is a venue for concerts and other events, as it could accommodate 5,000 spectators. Enjoy watching this 4K Video!
