Deltarune - THE TAIL THAT FOLLOWS (Vs. Friend) [V2]

Hello. Today is the day I decided to give The Tail That Follows another shot. I know it hasn't been long, but there's a lot I did not like about V1. The mixing sucked, the drums were lackluster at best, the instrument choice was questionable, and it felt ever so slightly too slow. The melodies were pretty good, though, so I fixed everything I thought was wrong, and now we're here. V1 probably could've sounded like this if I let the song bake for another month, but the hype of chapter 5 made me feel like I had to get it out when I did. Obviously still went for the creepy vibe. I think it only makes sense, especially after the new dialog from chapter 5. You can see my more detailed thoughts in V1's description if you haven't already. Since all of my recent descriptions have been massive, I'll continue the trend and talk about my thoughts on chapter 5. I am... disappointed. Not as much as I was when I first played through the chapter, but I still have my gripes with it. Honestly, I don't even know what my gripes are. I love the flowers, the dark world is pretty cool (although I think the Japanese architecture is a bit uninspired), and I didn't go in expecting any massive lore dumps or anything. The chapter just doesn't sit right with me for whatever reason. It's a good chapter; I'm just disappointed. I guess one gripe I know for sure is the secret boss. No spoilers, but I just don't think they were a good choice for the FINAL secret boss in the whole game. Even after the lore dump they give was added in, I can't help but go "meh" every time I see their fight. It is a good fight, and I do like the character, but again, as the FINAL secret boss, I expected a lot more. I guess I also hoped the Fields of Pink and Gold would be a more significant set piece than they ended up being, but I could look past that. Truly, I don't know why I'm so disappointed with the chapter. Maybe it'll grow on me. Only time will tell. I have now made an FAQ. It only consists of two questions, but those are the only two questions I'm ever really asked, so yeah. It's in my channel description, but I'll also start adding it at the end of my descriptions. You do NOT have to ask for permission, but I would prefer it if you'd let me know so I can see what you make with it. Q: Will you ever post your songs to Spotify? A: Unless the whole system changes, no. Right now, I'd have to get in contact with a distributor to post stuff to Spotify. Not only does that usually mean I have to pay them, but I would also be put into the copyright system. Even ignoring the fact that most of my songs are covers and I probably wouldn't be allowed to post them (all the covers you see on Spotify have been approved), I don't want to be in the copyright system. I want anything I make to be free for all to use, and signing my song's rights over to a distributor kinda defeats that goal.
