Cecils mid-argument w/ Willy the Wolf (what is he doing here?) — and nobody, including the Narrator, has any idea what's going on. It's Bob Clampett's take on Little Red Riding Hood — with Cecil in the lead role, and Willy the Wolf making a crossover appearance from his own puppet series as the Big Bad Wolf. ABOUT TIME FOR BEANY: Time for Beany was a live puppet show created by legendary WB animator Bob Clampett that aired broadcasting five days a week on KTLA Los Angeles from 1949-1953, then on KTTV from September 1953-1955. After moving to KTTV, in addition to the regular 15 minute episodes aired Monday thru Friday, there also a 28-minute episode featured on Saturdays. These Saturday episodes featured different voice actors and other crew. ABOUT THIS PRESERVATION: This episode is part of an ongoing preservation project to digitize over 1,000 Time for Beany kinescope episodes before they deteriorate beyond repair. Many of these films are severely degraded, and some are currently being treated at UCLA's film preservation laboratory. Each scan costs approximately $150 and represents a race against time to save this irreplaceable piece of television history. This channel features exclusive scans made directly from original kinescope negatives - many of which haven't been seen since their original broadcast.
