Last fall, I stopped in North Macedonia for two weeks. I made a base in the town of Prilep, leaving my luggage there. Thanks to this, on a lighter motorcycle, I could better explore the country, not only from the perspective of the asphalt, but also from the dust, the twists, and conversations with the locals. I'd been here before, about three years ago, but only passing through. Now I decided to return and really explore the places, roads, history, and atmosphere of this corner of the Balkans. North Macedonia's advantage is its low prices. It's much cheaper here than in Poland or neighboring Greece, which only tempted me to stay here for two weeks. In this episode, I take the TET route through Galičica National Park, visit two monasteries, explore the monumental ruins of the Hotel Europa, and stand under a powerful historical monument.
