We take a look at the Metabo HPT / Hikoki 36v multivol 7 1/4 inch circular saw. it's a sidewinder design circular saw running on metabo hpt's 36v battery platform. The multivolt battery platform allows the 36v batter to be backwards compatible with their 18v tools. The saw is a good, reliable, decently weighted, accurate, and decently performing saw. It will not impress you with it's raw power or cutting performance, but it may grab your attention in it's feel and weight. The tool will be probably just as reliable as most of metabo hPT tools, and at under $190 for the kit it's a great value. It has a brushless motor, led light, and dust blower. Features a silent mode which i can't image most people using.
