How to Grow Hollyhocks from Seeds I Seed to Seedling🌱 I Perennial Garden

Is there a cottage garden flower more iconic than the hollyhock? For us here in Denmark, they are true symbols of summer. If you're using seeds that you've collected from hollyhocks that have finished flowering, seeds from perennial varieties are best sown right away in the autumn as they need a period of cold to help them germinate. Seeds saved from biennial types can be stored and sown the following year. So check to see what works best for you and which variety you have.
