Re-pitched CARDILLAC 1952 version Richter, Schech, Berry, Kmentt, Sperlbauer - Hindemith - Vienna 57

I am really excited about this unique and historically significant recording which I have thoroughly restored. According to my research it is the ONLY existing recording (conducted by the composer himself) of the unsuccesful 1952 revision of the opera, which was hardly ever performed. Even during Hindemith's lifetime most theatres reverted to the original 1926 version (which lasts around 90 minutes). The 1952 revision, with a duration exceeding 120 minutes, which has entirely different libretto, plot, music and characters, was performed for the last time in 1969 in Leipzig. This longer, clunkier version even contains an "opera in the opera" - scenes from Lully's Phaëton in act 3. Even the most famous aria from the opera "Mag Mondlicht leuchten" is sung to an entirely different text. The cast isn't any less sensational, since it features two 27 year old Viennese newcomers - Walter Berry and Waldemar Kmentt - in the demanding title-, and lead tenor roles. Unfortunately the recording stems from a faulty CD rip, which results in some clicking noises during act 2 - luckily only for one brief minute. The recording had massive pitch inconsistencies, including wow-distortions, which I both painstakingly manually corrected, which took about 12 hours. I am a bit uncertain about the concert pitch of this performance. I know for certain, that the RAVAG / ORF orchestra tuned to a=446 in 1947, 1948, 1960 and 1963. However, there are traces of a 50 Hz hum, which MIGHT be the mains hum, which would indicate a=448, which was the concert pitch which the Vienna State Opera / Philharmonic adopted from November 1955 onwards. Since I have no conclusive eidence for either 446 or 448 I took the solomonic decision to pitch the recording to a=447 Hz, which must be extremely close to the actual concert pitch, one way or the other.
