Electric Adventure 2 continues from Monaco towards Venice, crossing northern Italy on a long, hot, and contrasting leg. The journey combines spectacular roads, European landscapes, impromptu stops, and the real experience of covering long distances in electric cars off the beaten track. Two generations, two electric vehicles, and many kilometers ahead to demonstrate what a great electric trip through Europe is like. The day's journey offers a fascinating comparison between two very different electric cars: a BYD Atto 3 Evo with a larger battery capacity and fast charging exceeding 200 kW, and a more modest Renault 5 Electric, with a smaller battery and lower charging power. Despite this difference, the trip demonstrates that on a route planned as an adventure, with stops for food, rest, and enjoying the scenery, the car isn't as limiting as one might think. Planning, charging infrastructure, and the pace of the journey matter more than the technical specifications. Italy also serves as a window into the reality of public charging in Europe: slow chargers in supermarkets, fast stations with limited power, 400 kW chargers even equipped for electric trucks, and the convenience of traveling with a single app compatible with multiple networks, such as Electroverse. The leg of the trip ends at a campsite near Venice, with charged cars, a tent pitched, and the feeling that traveling electric in Europe is no longer just about reaching the destination, but about enjoying everything that happens along the way.
