An ultra wide angle lens is something that I never anticipating using for my own landscape photography, but when I switched last year from a Sony Full Frame system to a Fuji Crop sensor I ended up testing out the Fujifilm 8-16mm which is the full frame equivalent of a 12-24mm making it an Ultra Wide Angle Lens. And after testing it out I ended up purchasing it as the quality of this lens is fantastic, but after using it now for the past 6 months I've noticed a few notable challenges that comes with using an Ultra Wide Angle Lens for landscape photography. In this video, I'll share with you the problems I've encountered when using such a wide focal length for outdoor photography and some things to consider if you're thinking about adding an ultra wide angle to your lens lineup. Out of all the focal lengths and lenses I've used for landscape photography over the years, I must say that an Ultra Wide Angle is perhaps the most difficult lens or focal length that I've ever used. I've found myself however in quite a few situations where having this additional wide angle perspective has come in handy, but there has been quite a few situations that I've come across that has forced me to think differently from a compositional perspective.
