If you don’t have your horse taking the correct lead every time you ask, you will never achieve the flying lead change, or at least not consistently. You may get it by accident every once in a while. Make sure you have successful lead departures down pat! We get in our horses’ way frequently and that varies the lead change. So, I am going to show you how to get out of his way and stay out of his way. Important Notes: One huge mistake I often see people make is that they get into the habit of diving into the flying lead change. Be careful not to let this happen.
