Did Ojukwu Escape After the Nigerian Civil War?

Federal troops were advancing. The famous Uli airstrip, Biafra’s last major link to the outside world, was under threat. And then, just before the final surrender, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the leader of Biafra, left. Some people call it an escape. Some call it exile. Some call it betrayal. Some call it a strategic decision to save lives.
