We visited the Aparicio tuning machines factory to learn about the whole production process. The Aparicio Classical Guitar Machine Head is made of solid brass (plate, crown and worm screw) with a simple and elegant design. The knobs are made of strong, smooth ebony, or metal with epoxy paint This part, normally found only on high-end tuning machine heads, reduces friction and avoids tuning problems.  The precision and feel during the rotation of the knob is the result of tooling development, meticulous workmanship and a passion for finding the perfect fit for the musician. With regard to its surface finishes, Aparicio Machine Heads stand out from other proposals on the market due to the fact that, starting from a solid block of brass, unique pieces are obtained, very different from those obtained by stamping or moulding, as each piece is worked manually, obtaining in each proposal the handcrafted touch so characteristic of the firm. A proposal that highlights the colour and machined texture of the brass, allowing the traces of the tools that give shape to the distinctive designs to be seen. These machine heads, used by prestigious builders, are only available for sale at Maderas Barber and in limited quantities. Aparicio machine heads are entirely designed and manufactured in Spain. The precision of their pieces is due to the careful combination of industrial methods and artisan techniques for the transformation of brass.
