Tonar Machine-Building Plant at the Rudnik-2024 Exhibition in Yekaterinburg Tonar Machine-Building Plant is a leading Russian manufacturer of trailers and semi-trailers, and the only Russian manufacturer of industrial dump trucks, heavy-duty road trains, and articulated dump trucks. The plant's history began with the production of trailers for passenger cars. Its official founding date is November 30, 1990. Incidentally, Tonar has been included in the global OEM rankings since 2020 and is a growing player in the international market. This year, Tonar broke its personal best in the global rankings, rising to 18th place! The Tonar plant participated for the first time at the Rudnik-2024 exhibition, where it showcased one of its latest developments for the mining industry – the Tonar T-35 articulated dump truck (the number indicates the number of tons of cargo it can carry). The truck weighs 30 tons, giving it a gross vehicle weight of 65 tons. The dump truck's capacity (filled heaped) is 20 cubic meters. Clearly, both the dump truck and the bogie are designed with ample capacity, and the truck can more or less easily handle up to 40 tons. The first T-35 prototype was built in just over a year. Not for a specific order, but on its own initiative, so to speak, for the open market. The idea conceived back in 2016; they first created several 3D models, and now they've built the actual truck.
