It is a beautiful bird with colorful feathers including brown, red, blue, dark brown, silver, black, white and more! Their feet and legs are orange in color, and they are small which makes them very adept at living on the ground. The female Chinese quail is very similar to the male, but she does not have the dark blue tones like the male. These animals in the wild live between 3 to 6 years, but in captivity they reach up to 13 years! Females can hatch their eggs, small, olive green or brown, having little spots on top. Egg incubation takes 17 days on average.
