[Anchor] While our cultural content, including K-pop, is gaining immense popularity overseas, there is still no large-scale festival where people can enjoy our culture all in one place. A Korean company has decided to take the lead in hosting a large-scale festival centered on K-pop next December. Reporter Park Soon-pyo reports. [Reporter] This is Coachella, the world's largest music and arts festival. Representative K-pop groups such as Big Bang, Le Seraphim, and Blackpink, along with members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, took the stage. Regardless of genre—including rock, hip-hop, and R&B—it draws the world's top musicians and fans to California, USA, every spring. In Korea as well, a "Korean version of Coachella" centered on K-pop, called FANOMENON, will be held next December. Phenomenon is a portmanteau of the English words "Fan" and "Phenomenon," and it is a festival where you can see K-pop concerts, awards ceremonies, and various programs from K-culture companies all in one place. The venues are the Seoul Changdong Arena, which opens next May, and the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang. In short, it is a comprehensive gift set of K-culture.
