The Doors-Soul Kitchen (isolated Vox Continental organ and piano bass)
This is a remake of my original Soul Kitchen video. This remake has a better organ and bass tone, and more accurate notes. Soul Kitchen was recorded in 1966 with the rest of the first album. The album was recorded between August and December 1966. The entire first album was apart of Jim’s first batch of songs. For the keyboard part, Ray plays his Vox organ with his Fender Rhodes bass. The piano bass was later doubled by an actual bass guitar played by either Robby Kreiger himself or Larry Knechtel. The bass part is rather simple and is reminiscent of the bass on When the Music’s Over, just in a different key. The organ part is also simple as it plays the same riff during the verse just alternating the pattern every now and then.
