I pulled 92,249 CMPD incident reports from 2024 and mapped every violent crime by exact GPS coordinates across all 14 divisions and 47 response areas. The five areas with the highest concern in Charlotte NC are North Tryon Division at 9.7% violent rate, Metro Division at 9.1%, Freedom Division at 8.0%, Westover Division at 6.7%, and University City Division which carries the highest raw violent crime count of any division in the city.
