My Path to Medical school | How I Got into Medical School

Hi and welcome to my channel! My name is Crystal and I'm currently going through the crazy journey of medical school and the frustrating yet beautiful natural hair journey. Hypothetical Time-Line to Med School from HS Senior Yr HS: Apply to college Freshman Yr: Major in WHATEVER YOU WANT. Also, take Gen Chem I & II and Biology I & II (and preferably Microbiology) Sophomore Yr: Take Organic Chemistry I & II (and preferably A&P I & II) Junior Yr Fall: Take Biochemistry and Physics I & II Junior Yr Spring: Study for MCAT Junior Yr April-June: Take MCAT June-Sept before Senior Yr: Apply to Medical School! Also, find time for extracurriculars that you are passionate about and try out scientific research and/or shadowing a physician! I forgot to mention that I was a medical scribe for ~1.5 yrs, did research Junior-Senior year of college, had a medical internship at a hospital one semester and was involved in various volunteer opportunities as well as other extracurricular activities on my campus. I know if you are in High School right now it may seem like a lot, but keep in mind this is spread out over 4 years!
