Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS XG vs 201 | Real Fishing Test & Comparison

🎣 Hi guys, thanks for tuning in and welcome back to another video! Today I’m heading out for a short fishing adventure in my new region to test and compare two very different reels: the Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS XG and the Shimano Calcutta Conquest 201. After receiving a question about how far you can cast an 8g lure with the Calcutta Conquest 201, I decided to take both reels to the river and try them side by side. First, I fish with the Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS XG, then I switch to the Shimano Calcutta Conquest 201. To keep the comparison fair, I use the same rod for both reels: the Shimano Poison Adrena BFS. Sadly, we didn’t catch anything in this video - but that’s fishing. I still wanted to share the session because these real-world tests are part of the learning process, especially while I’m still getting used to baitcasting and BFS fishing. We also had a few bird nests and casting fails along the way, but that’s part of learning how to fish with baitcaster reels. I’m still learning this new river system and I plan to do a lot more scouting and fishing during the summer to find better pockets, current breaks and productive spots.
