The Incredible Story of How Robin Olds Scored His First Kills
Robin Olds is most famous for his role in the Vietnam War when he led a Fighter Wing and shot down four MiGs. But his career started more than two decades earlier in World War Two. He was initially trained for P-38 Lightning and after flying many bomber escort and ground-attack missions without even seeing an enemy fighter, on 14 August 1944 he would finally get a chance to show what he could do in an air-to-air engagement. This is the first video on this channel fully produced using IL-2 Great Battles.
