TETHERED CORD RELEASE SURGERY

I had my Tethered cord release surgery in Maryland on 3/3/2020. This vlog is from before and after the surgery. Before we did all the packing and then traveling. We flew out of FAT to SF and then to Dulles. The day before surgery we had an appointment with my Neurosurgeon and then imaging and the pre op appointments at the hospital. The morning of surgery we were told to get to the hospital around 5:30 in the morning. Charon, Zeus, and Taylor woke up really early in the morning to fictive with me in pre op. Surgery went well and my surgeon was able to release the tethered cord but also found that I have increased CSF pressure so I am now on medication to hopefully lower that and hopefully improve some symptoms. After surgery there were a couple of really hard days in the hospital. I do not remember them at all but apparently I cried for 2 days. On the bright side for me, one of the people I can magically talk to was there and came to visit. I don't understand why but I am really comfortable with her around and will end up spilling information that I normally cannot put into words and never really let people into that part of my life.
