Why is one of deposits in Yamal named the Kruzensternskoye field? The great navigator Ivan Fyodorovich Krusenstern, the compiler of the atlas of South Sea although went around the world, but a man and a steamer definitely did not visit Yamal. But his son Pavel was not indifferent to the North, and he passed on this predilection to his son, also Pavel. It brought the fearless admiral's grandson to the Kara Sea. And he would have stayed there forever, on an ice-covered wooden schooner, if the nomadic reindeer herders had not come to the rescue of the team. A century and a half later the descendants of the participants in that terrible adventure have something to say to each other… The historic meeting took place in the documentary project of Yamal–Media.
