Jubilations as Mang'u High, Thika High and Chania Girls High School register good KCSE 2024 results

There were celebrations at Mang’u High School, Thika High School and MP Shah Chania Girls High School after the schools posted very good results in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). According to the results seen by 3T TV, Mang’u High School had 107 students who scored straight As, 164 A minus, with a total of 578 students attaining the requisite entry points to join the University. The school registered a Mean Grade of 10.011, an improvement from 9.4 in 2023 and translating to a mean grade of B+. Chief Principal John Kuria attributed their success to hard work on the part of the students, a dedicated teaching and support staff as well as the cordial support from parents and other stakeholders. In Thika High School, 25 students scored an A Plain and A Minus, with the school registering an increase in the number of students joining university as compared to the previous year. Thika High School had a mean grade score of 7.756. Chief principal Julius Muraya noted that out of 463 candidates, 355 students managed to beat the cut to join the university. MP Shah Chania Girls High School had 1 straight A, 14 A minus and a Mean Score of 7.376. Chief principal Lilian Wambui Muhuni noted that out of 364 students who sat for last year’s exams, 242 students will be joining university which translates to 66.44% transition rate to university.
