House & Soul Radio Vol 134 Oct 1990 - Feb 1991 (taped From Jeff Young's Big Beat Show)

Some great House, Deep House, New Jack Swing, Techno, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Rap, Soul, R&B and Dance tracks played by Jeff Young, although sadly no voiceovers, between October 1990 - Feb 1991. Recorded on a high-quality Sony UX90 cassette tape. Some great tracks on this one, this is one of my best tapes from these genres, no cheesy ones on this one. Also there are a couple of tracks which are not on YouTube at all (until now). The first is a real mystery as i can't find any mention of this track anywhere, nothing on discogs or anywhere else on the web. I wrote down Karen Foley as the artist the track name is easy as it's a cover of The Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want" but there is no mention of this combination anywhere that I can find. It could be that the track title was slightly changed or that I misheard the artist, anyway it doesn't Shazam either. It's possible that it was a demo which never got released. The second one not on YouTube is the amazing Family version of "Family Of People" by Quest For Excellence using samples from Hubert Laws "Family" but you can only get this version on the White label 12", it wasn't on the released version. To me this was the best version, I don't know why they left it off, maybe there were copyright issues at the time. Anyway here it is on this tape.
