I drove with My freind Matteo from the Tropics, at nor east, to the heart of Australia, the Red Centre. We did 3299 kilometers to get there in 5 days. ═ ═ ═ ═ Expand the description ═ ═ ═ ═ The easiest way to explain where we were going is to take the map of Australia and point to the centre. There it is where we went. I lived many special experiences during my life and my trips. You know me knows, and label me as the one out of mind, with the courage of a lion and that is often somewhere around the world. But when I have to tell something about this roadtrip through the australin desert, people barely believe me. I saw on thei face the same expression: open mouth and wide eyes. I have to admit that neither did I uderstood the distance that we drove. Only when I checked for a similar distance in Europe, I understood. 3299 km is the distance that you have to make if you day you would like to to a road trip from Rome to Moscow and over. But it is not just the distance that make this trip so special, rather the road. Endless desert, the road straght almost all the time, no cars in the opposite direction and what to say about the phone's signal? We didn't have any for almost all the time. We moved from the green of the rain forest to the red sand of the desert, from the hot weather to the cold. It has been a very special trip for lots of reasons, and it will always be the longest road trip I've aver done.
