All you need is a packet of seeds and a simple sprouter or a regular jar covered with cheesecloth and a rubber band. Why is it worth eating sprouts? Because they're delicious and have a wide variety of flavors - some are spicy and bold, others mild and sweet, and still others can be fried and added to meats, for example. They taste wonderful as a salad topping or as a sandwich topping. You can choose from dozens of plant species, such as peas, beans, mustard, onions, cilantro, radishes, broccoli, beets, alfalfa, and watercress. Moreover, sprouts are very healthy and nutritious – the seeds contain plenty of protein, carbohydrates, and fats, as well as the micro- and macronutrients essential for nourishing the budding plant. You don't even need soil to grow sprouts – just a sprouter or a jar with cheesecloth, seeds, and water. And our favorite sprouting seeds. Soak the sprouts in water overnight, then in the morning, drain the water through the sprouter's strainer or cheesecloth. All you need to do now is rinse them with water twice a day – so that the seeds and young sprouts don't dry out. Be sure to thoroughly drain the water after rinsing to prevent the seeds from rotting and mold from forming. The sprouts are ready to eat after 3-5 days, depending on the species. Because they grow in water, not soil, you can eat them whole. Simply wash your sprouting container afterwards, and you're ready to start your next crop! The sprouts don't even need light – they can be kept on a shelf or near a bread bin, within easy reach and sight. The finished harvest can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week. #parantela #sprouts #DIY About Us Szymon and Ania Zieliński - a long-standing, happy couple and the happy parents of two long-haired girls - Hania and Inka.
