Santa Cruz Parabolic Tension Strings - D'Addario EJ11 80/20 COMPARISON
I was sent a set of the new Parabolic Tension Strings (low tension set) by Santa Cruz to try. I thought it would be nice to do a back to back comparison with the widely used EJ11 80/20 Bronze 012 gauge set by D'Addario. I used my brand new Stanford OM-18 guitar with a pair of Rode TF-5 condenser mics for this video. I noticed more lows and highs on the Santa Cruz and a slightly fuller sound while the D'Addario set sounded a bit more mid-forward. Listening with headphones is recommended!
