RAW POV freeride laps with Fabio Studer, Max Hitzig and Bene Henger in Silvretta Montafon! First powder of the season. Cold air, dry snow, and that feeling you were waiting for all summer. After a long summer the lifts finally opened this weekend, and we headed straight into our home resort to score the very first fresh lines. Even though there wasn’t a huge amount of snow yet, it was just enough to ride properly — especially on the areas where the ground is usually groomed for the pistes. Thanks to knowing the resort inside out, we could safely choose the zones with fewer rocks and mostly bushes and vegetation underneath. Those bushes, though… absolutely sneaky. The moment your skis dive in, they grab you from behind and try to pull your skis back. So the whole day became a fun little challenge: riding with way more backseat than usual and keeping the tips above the early-season traps. And honestly — it just felt amazing to start the winter like this. Icy cold temperatures, super-dry snow, sparkling crystals in the air and a level of stoke that was off the charts. A proper wintery season start that makes you remember why we love this sport so much. The perfect winter kickoff with the crew.
