Sturmkind Dr!ft: Steuerung mit RC - Pistolenfernsteuerung - Wie gut funktioniert es?

In this video, I'll show you how to control Dr!ft by Sturmkind (and also Carrera Hybrid) not only with a smartphone or Bluetooth controller, but also with an RC pistol-grip transmitter 🚗💨 Many of you come from the RC world and are used to driving with a pistol-grip transmitter. This project builds on that – thanks to Jogger86, it's finally possible! Jogger already developed the CH Control Box for Carrera Hybrid. However, Drift presented new challenges: 👉 Instead of Turbo Boost, a handbrake is needed. 👉 The handbrake must be held down (no on/off button). After some research, we settled on the Spektrum SLT3. The thumb button works perfectly here, as it's only active while held down – ideal for Drift handbrake or Boost in Carrera Hybrid. Upload the code prepared by Jogger. The ESP32 appears as a CH Control Box via Bluetooth. An Xbox controller is emulated. Connect to the Drift or Carrera Hybrid app and start driving. Complete instructions, required parts, and an extremely easy Arduino installation (portable version) are included. You can find it on Jogger86's channel. No electrical engineering degree required – just follow the instructions 👍 🎮 In the video, I'll show you everything live in action. A comparison of lap times (controller vs. RC transmitter) or a gymkhana session might follow later. ⚠️ Important notes: There are a few faulty ESP32 batches → if you experience connection problems, try a different board. Latch is not noticeable in practice. Minimally slower than USB controllers, but we're talking about a few milliseconds. I think it's fantastic that we now have so many different ways to control this hobby.
