Paradis: Sicilienne｜Eimi Wakui

The Sicilienne was composed by the Austrian-born female musician Maria Theresia von Paradis (1759-1824). She was a pianist, singer and composer, despite having lost her sight as a child. She also founded her own music school in Vienna, where she taught singing, piano and music theory to girls. This piece, together with Fauré's Sicilienne, is one of her most famous works and has been a favourite of many violinists over the years.
