'Bible of Dreams' Reba May

Wrote this song about two years ago. Inspired by the book title, 'Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams' by Sylvia Plath. Lyrics: In the undertones of autumn there lived a lonesome hue I wore it on a pin to keep the color new And underneath the blood moon, inside the bitter blue My bible of dreams was written from me to you Now the sweet sting of patience is the substitute for bait When wind blows stronger to the mill beside the lake And if it rained during dusk, if it brought you something new My bible of dreams was written from me to you Go softly, my baby You with the weird attitudes I find it so strange How can you be so bemused Go sweetly, my baby You with the strange moods Did you get to your hotel? Are you moving out soon? I found you by the bus stop talking to your cell phone “Hello, can you hear me now?” Can you hear me now Quietly inflamed and burned out like a wick I said, this could be the end for us, I really do think And oh it’s so blue Cause my bible of dreams was written from me to you
