Only spread of freedom make our world safer — Oleksandra Matviychuk, the Nobel Peace Prize winner

Oleksandra Matviychuk – Ukrainian human rights defender, head of the Center for Civil Liberties, laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize 2022, spoke at an international symposium “Security in Europe: Religious Dimension of War and Moral Responsibility for Peace,” which was held at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich as part of the Munich Security Conference on 12-13 February 2025. The preparation and execution of this scholarly forum was possible thanks to the cooperation of Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (LMU), and the University of Notre Dame, three noted academic institutions in Ukraine, Germany, and the USA, and also through the support of the Catholic Church through the charitable organization Renovabis, the Munich-Freising Archdiocese, and the Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainian Catholics of the Byzantine Rite in Germany and Scandinavia.
