Transition Has Endings: Surgery Prep, Legal Progress & Becoming Myself

Transition is not one thing. It is medical. It is legal. It is social. It is emotional. And sometimes it is all of those things happening at exactly the same time while real life refuses to pause. In this life update, I talk about where I am right now as a trans woman living abroad and preparing for gender confirmation surgery. I’m balancing my daily trans history countdown, school workload, surgery preparation, legal transition paperwork, and the emotional self-check that comes before a major life-changing step. This video is about the messy middle of transition: the paperwork, the phone calls, the fear, the excitement, the support systems, the work deadlines, the research, the doubt that is not the same as regret, and the strange realization that some chapters really do come to an end. I also talk about why erasure keeps coming up in my trans history videos, how systems make trans people invisible to ourselves and others, and why documenting our lives matters. This is not a perfect cinematic transformation. This is transition in real life. And I am becoming.
