Quartiles Statistics Quartiles Quantiles Statistics In this video, we'll look at calculating quartiles, and secondarily deciles and all possible percentiles. More generally, we'll look at quantiles. Regarding the simple case of calculating quartiles, there are various schools of thought and therefore various methods for dividing the ranking. I've chosen one, but obviously my advice is always to use these videos as a general example, to understand the practice and then consider what your textbook says. Here too, we must distinguish between two cases, as with the Median, which would then be the Second Quartile.
