Exclusive: Nassau Police Dept. launches first "training village" in the county
It’s been 17 years in the making but the Nassau County Police Department gave PIX11 News an exclusive look into its new training facility. Being called the first of its kind in the nation, a training village, that gives its officers and recruits reality-based training to prepare them for what they very well might just face on the streets. In the first of a two-part series, photo journalist Keith Lopez shows us how this training compares to their old academic settings
