PBS Long Ago and Far Away - The Talking Parcel (Program 27, Part 1 of 2)

This is an episode of WGBH's "Long Ago and Far Away" recorded around 1990, including the intros/outros (the tape was missing some parts of them on this episode, so I added some pieces from other episodes on either end). The Talking Parcel is a 1978 adaptation by Cosgrove Hall of a 1974 book by Gerald Durrell. A DVD was made of this at some point, with a rather poor remaster if the comments are to be believed, but it appears to be out of print. Long Ago and Far Away split this film into two 30-minute episodes. I have no intention of monetizing this video, only to make it available for fear it otherwise would be lost to time. Ownership of this material is (I assume) retained by WGBH or ITV plc (which absorbed Cosgrove Hall in 2009). Please support your local PBS station if you like this sort of thing. :)
