Foam edge replacement
In this video I am showing my method of replacing the foam edge on a speaker driver. Its very common that these edges dissolve, and instead of replacing the woofer its better to give it a new foam edge. If the speaker got too much power and burned the voice-coil this repair wont help. The reason why its good to maintain the original model of woofer, is that its a precise cooperation between speaker driver and enclosure to produce the bass response that the speaker has. The video I will admit moves slow, but I think the points are important and makes the process easy for most people if they can slow down to this and do it each stage with calm and care. If you glue down the edge and it let it cure, it will be very hard to get it of again to redo without damaging the cone, due to a new foam edge and glue. Better do it well the first time and you can count on the sound in the end and don't have to paranoid about if it went well or not. With numerous years of serving high-end audio clients under my belt, I am excited to offer a speaker repair and upgrade service that's sure to meet your needs. I apply the process demonstrated in my videos, ensuring that your speakers are handled by an expert. For advice or packaging inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact me.
