This morning, the ocean was not calm. I started on the sands of Arpoador Beach before sunrise, with the sky still dark and the waves already growing in strength. From the top of Arpoador rock, I captured the vast Atlantic Ocean and Praia do Diabo, where powerful waves were rolling in nonstop. Later, at the far end of Leblon Beach, the ocean became even more intense. Massive waves were forming and crashing with force, while a few brave surfers faced the challenge.
