My Mother once worked at Watkins Bookshop by Tara MacLean
Tara MacLean is a Canadian singer-songwriter. In her memoir, “Song of the Sparrow”, she writes about how her mother, the actress Sharlene MacLean, lived in London in the 1970s when she was pregnant with Tara, and worked in the basement of the Watkins Bookshop. She was there handling Aleister Crowley’s works, studying the occult with Alex Saunders (King of the witches), attended Solstice rituals at Stonehenge and Dr. Thomas Maughn (the Arch Druid) was to be the doctor assisting with Tara’s birth. However, she ended up having to go back to Canada before tara was born and didn't make it back.
