Centrobolus splendidus Red Fire Millipede
Splendid indeed, Mozambique Red Fire Millipedes are arguably the most attractive species in the pet millipede hobby. Centrobolus splendidus have been captive-bred in the US hobby for many years and they remain one of the most desirable millipedes in the history of the hobby due to their glossy red coloration and ease of care. They thrive on an organic compost substrate with plenty of wood and leaves, and will eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. I also supplement their diet with protein-based pet foods. They tolerate more dryness than some species, but are subject to drying out very quickly if kept in high ventilation environment. Room temperature is just fine for these, with normal day and night fluctuations. Please hit the Like button & Subscribe!
