ETE Conf 2025 | Beyond the Rubric: Experiential Pedagogy and Rekindling a Love of Learning

Presented by: John Ferguson This presentation will focus on moving away from grade focussed mindsets in both students and faculty by realigning courses toward a focus on learning. While eschewing rubrics and other grade-centric models, experiential learning techniques focussing on role play, intrinsic motivation, and real world connections will be examined. The goal of the session is to better understand and support student post-graduation success through skill building and mindset reorientation. The session will provide current examples and resources.
