Fun Weekend at Dube | That Ended In a Disaster

We set out for a relaxing weekend at Dube Private Game Lodge, towing the Mobi Lodge behind the trusty Land Cruiser 79… but nothing ever goes quite according to plan, does it? First, we had to navigate more road closures than a SANRAL project, thanks to protest action near Brits. (Let’s just say the locals weren’t too happy with the mayor—and neither were we after all the detours.) Once we finally made it to Dube, the campsite didn’t disappoint—great stands, roaming wildlife, and plenty of space to unwind. But when it came to buying firewood, well… they sold it wet enough to register as a dam. If you’ve ever tried to braai with firewood that hisses like a pofadder, you’ll know the struggle.
