Maybe It Was Never My Technique

After the Snowdonia half marathon slump, I've had a much better couple of weeks, and the thing that changed wasn't my stroke. Switching AI trainer gave me different advice, and the evidence from training suggests far more of what's been holding my swimming back is mindset than technique. 50m has quietly become my default interval, I've started stringing 75s together, and the Garmin data shows my stroke isn't degrading across the lengths the way I assumed it would. Still working out how to fully accept what that means. This channel follows my attempt to go from an adult beginner swimmer in 2025 to completing the Ironman in 2028, a full 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike having never previously done any sports cycling, and a marathon when I have only previously run half of that distance.
