We'll follow the abandoned Arita Railway line, which once branched off from JR Fujinami Station in Aridagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture. The Arita Railway line was originally built to transport the local specialty, mandarin oranges. As transportation gradually shifted from rail to truck, freight service ceased in 1984. Passenger numbers subsequently declined, and the line was closed in 2002. The abandoned line has now been converted into a bicycle path, allowing you to cycle from its starting point at Fujinami Station to its terminus at Kanayaguchi Station.
