Tutorial de autoconstrucción de BIOFILTRO

💦 The biofilter is the second step in the greywater treatment module. In this video, we'll guide you so you can build your own! 💦 MATERIALS LIST CPVC -3.5 m 1 1/2" pipe -1 1 1/2" male threaded connector -1 1 1/2" flange -5 1 1/2" 90° elbows -1 1 1/2" tee -2 1 1/2" end caps SANITARY PVC -1 2" elbow -1 2 1/2" to 2" reducer -80 cm 1 1/2" pipe -1 1 1/2" coupling -1 1 1/2" end cap OTHER -210 L tub (1.1 m long, 43 cm high, 71 cm wide) -3/4" Teflon tape -Sandpaper -1 x 1 m mosquito netting -Sieve mesh 5mm and 2mm -1 2” conical rubber gasket -1 extra 1 1/2” flange gasket -2 20-liter buckets of stone -2 20-liter buckets of gravel -2 20-liter buckets of fine gravel -2 20-liter buckets of coarse sand -2 20-liter buckets of fine sand -Native aquatic plants SANITATION MODULE MAINTENANCE Remove solids before washing dishes. The drum should always be full of water. Clean the grease trap monthly or whenever it smells: Open the drum Disconnect the water inlet pipe Remove the screen containing solids Use a strainer to remove the layer of grease that has accumulated on top of the water Open the bottom drain valve Remove the sediment from the bottom of the drum Rinse with clean water Close the valve Reconnect the water inlet pipe Slowly fill the drum with water Do not use too much soap; opt for non-polluting products such as ash and citrus peel-based degreaser. Additionally, 8 drops of chlorine per liter of water is sufficient to disinfect it. Under no circumstances should grease reach the sand biofilter. If this happens and it becomes saturated with grease, remove the semi-aquatic plants and sprinkle a 2-3 cm layer of ash to absorb the grease. Unclog the holes in the pipe. Let the water run to remove the ash and replant the semi-aquatic plants. Let's return the water to the soil as clean as possible!
