CAMC Campsite MINEHEAD | Tour & Review | June 2023 | Caravan & Motorhome Club

In today's video, we take a look round the Minehead campsite, which is part of the Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) network. It's handily located on the main A39 through Minehead, in Somerset. Although it's on a main road, we found it to be quiet, and it's quite a green and woody site. Again, despite being on the edge of town, it's also a fairly short walk from the attractions of town, whether you are interested in the seafront, quaint harbour, amusements, vibrant shopping street, or supermarkets. It's slightly downhill so you will be walking uphill on your return to the campsite, but we thought the slope was fairly gentle so nothing to be put off by. It was around 20 minutes to the seafront without rushing. We received a warm and friendly welcome at the site. The site has the usual facilities you'd expect and these were kept clean. It's worth noting that there aren't many showers (3 female ones) so you may need to queue when it's busy (which it was when we stayed in early June). There's a dog walk on site, which allows your pooch to go off lead, and provides shade on a sunny day. Because of its hillside location, the site does slope, although pitches are terraced. Our pitch was one of the more distant ones from the facilities - we worried slightly when we saw this on the map, but in reality, it was only a short easy walk so no issue at all.
