Compresores herméticos #4 _ ¿Para qué llevan condensadores capacitores?

Also called CAPACITORS in other countries. Why do single-phase hermetic compressors have capacitors? Why do some compressors have two capacitors, others one, and others none? In this fourth chapter of this series dedicated to low-power single-phase hermetic compressors, we attempt to explain the function of an electrical capacitor in the starting and operation of a single-phase compressor. This requires a basic understanding of alternating current and Ohm's Law. To avoid making the video too long, I haven't included the formulas needed to calculate capacitor values. Calculating impedance in a system with inductors, resistors, and capacitors is a very complex topic studied in electronic engineering. What I show you in this video is just a brief overview, so that at a basic technical level (without reaching an engineering level) you can understand the effect an electrical capacitor has on the currents flowing through a single-phase electric motor. In the following chapters, we will look at different capacitor-start systems. ERRATA: There are two errors in the following minutes: 9:28 should read: "STARTING CAPACITOR IN PARALLEL WITH THE RUNNING CAPACITOR" 9:32 should read: "STARTING CAPACITOR". TO DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR, INSTEAD OF USING A SCREWDRIVER, IT IS MORE RECOMMENDED TO USE A LAMP OR A RESISTOR. DANGER, ELECTRICAL RISK!!!: BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING LIVE ELECTRICAL WIRES. If you do not have sufficient knowledge of electricity and risk prevention, these exercises should be supervised by the teacher or qualified personnel. I hope you find it useful.
